PLANNING YOUR VISIT CONSIDER THE MANY POSSIBILITIES Up to 2003, the TT could be split up into a series of combinations. Of course the whole period constitutes the ultimate visit. However there are some of us who may not have that length of holiday due to us. So we look into what is the best time to witness the best parts of the TT. People ask me what is my favourite part of the TT and I always suggested that Practice Week had a lot to offer. However, in 2004, major changes were seen, changing the traditional TT into what could be at first sight, very foreshortened practices and race periods.........Maybe, as the clock counts down, there may be more changes, but to the good perhaps... So I will list some of my recommendations TRIP 1---PRACTICE WEEK + BUILD UP TRIP 2---PRACTICE THURSDAY TO SATURDAY RACES TRIP 3---PRACTICE WEEK AND MIDDLE WEEKEND TRIP 4---THE MIDDLE WEEKEND TRIP 5---THE MIDDLE WEEKEND + MONDAYS RACES TRIP 6---WEDNESDAY + FRIDAY RACES TRIP 7---FRIDAY + STEAM PACKET RACES TRIP 8---THE WHOLE TWO WEEKS THERE ARE OTHER OBVIOUS COMBINATIONS BUT I HAVE FOUND THOSE ABOVE DO GIVE VERY DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE TT FESTIVAL YOU CAN TRY ONE ONE YEAR AND RETURN THE NEXT YEAR TO SEE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SEQUENCE THE TIME, TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER IN THE ISLE OF MAN ARE, AT THIS VERY MOMENT
